Who ever it is if they hit you with the intent to harm put them down with necessary force. Then if you run into legal problems if you used appropriate force and not retaliation its just self defense and you could just sue or something.

Either you are making this up and exaggerating bits or not telling what you did yourself to escalate the situation. Otherwise, you should simply report her for racist slurs and violence to authorities. If your school has no system to deal with such undisciplined actions there should be an option to go to the police.

Getting in a fight should get you in trouble be it with a boy or girl. If you are just looking for justification for getting in a fight on net then you really need to look at your life style again and actions yourself.

"What was I suppose to do?" It's not like you were wrong for not hitting her back. Even if you have your pride or reputation to protect, most guys wouldn't think you're a coward or something if you chose not to hit her back.

For anyone who is not in your shoes, it's easy to yell, "Punch that bish back next time!" However, if I keep your best interest in mind, how would your peers react? Would other guys at the school give you hell for it? Would it make your school life worse? Hell, she doesn't even have to tell the truth, about what really happened. Now, some guys may be capable of dealing with whatever aftermath comes from hitting her, but I have no idea who you are or what you're capable of (whether it's physically handling any guys that may try to give you hell... or doing something extreme to yourself...).

There's probably a lot of guys at your school that would take the girl's side, especially if she lied about the situation.


Now, if a girl came at me with a weapon - sleeeeeeep. But ask yourself, did the punch hurt? Will guys mock you for not doing anything about it (doubt it)? You're probably pissed because you feel she got the best of you. Though, you know you can beat her up anytime you wanted. If she's right in the head, she knows it too (she just think you won't do it). So yeah, you're probably just a bit pissed that she was able to get away with it.


Remember this, if you had hit her, you'd most likely would still be making this thread. It's like that with a lot of decisions in life, even the small ones.


I won't tell you to hit her, not because of morality (even though I normally wouldn't hit a woman), but because I don't know enough about you and your school to foresee the consequences that will follow.

Man or woman, if someone comes at you with full intention to deal physical harm then you have every right to subdue them. That doesn't mean beating the crap out of them; merely seizing the entire arm and forcing whoever it is onto their knees is enough. So long as you're not excessive with dealing more damage back, you'd be justified in applying self-defense.

Before all that, the best thing to do is walk away and report it rather than escalating the situation with insults. Using physical force should always be your last option and avoided if possible.

I have earned that despite US official stats of the high number of domestic violence crime against women, in fact American guy get beaten up by girls regularly and they do nothing but post threads on internet about it. ^^


Anyway- I don't think anyone should resort to physical violence unless they really have run out of all civil options to defend themselves. And that when you hit someone you cannot rely on other person being polite and refrain from doing that back to you. You are taking your own risk in such a condition. Saying 'hey I'm a girl' after hitting someone is stupid. If the guy was a jerk enough to need a slap then he is probably a jerk enough to hit you. So just behave yourself.

I agree with this. I'm a pacifist up until the point it's physical, and I tend to not let my ego or pride get the best of me. If I have to get physical with a guy, that usually means throwing punches with the intent to knock them out or make them back off, which can equate to a broken nose, swollen eye, missing teeth, etc. In a woman's case, I don't think that degree of force is necessary. Simple as that. I'll only respond with the physical force that's necessary. Are there freakishly strong women out there? Of course.

I wouldn't physically deal with a 13-14 year old boy the same way as I would an adult, I can push them, wrestle them until they are tired, etc. Punching them is not necessary to deal with the "threat".

Generally speaking, women and children/young teens are physically weaker than adult males. I don't see the point in using excessive force. It's that simple for me.

By the way, what would a law against self-defense be deterring exactly? Certainly not crime. Criminals won't benevolently stop being criminals because their victims aren't allowed to defend themselves. It'll just lead to more victims. Those politicians wouldn't have an ounce of logic in them. I, honestly, would have a better chance spending the rest of my life searching for a logical being in the cosmos than looking for any logic in such a law.
