just a random idea you thought of...but japan is the no 1 godless nation in the world,there is nothing like Christianity in japan...so I don't believe kishi would base naruto on Christian religion...I think there are many idols,legends,deities,and so on that kishi can get ideas from(like ametarasu....god of the sun) you get me,your theory is nice but it doesn't add up.

There are many themes used in Naruto (or other manga) that are present in various religions and folkloristic tales.

Personally, the Shinju immediately reminded me of Yggdrasil, the gigantic world tree of Nordic mythology, which bears the fruits of life.
