Yeah I think it might be Evil Natsu Dragneel. Makes sense why Igneel couldn't kill him (either physically couldn't or didn't want to because of how he reminded him of FT Natsu).

But it seems a little farfetched. Not sure who else it could be.

Igneel isn't the strongest dragon (fire dragon yes) so he could have lost. E.g Acnologia.

Probably some kind of after effect to killing end that would devastate the world like how face works. Zeref mentioned to nastu that it would be up to him to kill end or not. Maybe end is evil igneel instead of evil nastu. So if end dies so does igneel, maybe igneel didn't want to kill him self, he wanted nastu to do it so he could bathe in his blood like rouge and sting. Thus giving nastu another power up that wouldn't be a ass pull

My theory is that, for some reason, if Igneel kills E.N.D., Natsu dies, and if Natsu kills E.N.D., Igneel dies, I don't know the reason, but this could be a possibility
