My phone can't receive text messages.

My phone's an android.

I can send text messages but I can't receive any. The only way I can seem to receive text messages is if I open the Tango application. It's kinda annoying since there is really no way of knowing if a message from my family or my friends is incoming so that I can I open the app before the message is sent to my phone. Any ideas on how to solve this?

I need the app to interact with my sister who's another country.

Just take backup of it, and then uninstall it and try to install it again.
Check your Antivirus settings, to confirm whether it isn't blocking the message.
