I remembered a certain theory I heard from a friend, a few years ago and thought 'why not'. They were talking about the Hyuga clan and how Kishimoto could really build on them. The idea was that, in succession to their ancestral bloodline (Uchiha Clan), their eyes could unlock a new form of dojutsu. From what my friend said, it could be like a pure/untainted version of the sharingan or a new eye altogether. Since the discovery of the relationship between Uzumaki's and Senju's, we seen many prominent similarities between them put into the manga... Some even before-hand. As it is for the Uzumaki Clan, their special chakra, longevity and sealing techniques were very formidable. Still, the only thing that connects the Hyuga and Uchiha is the fact they both have dojutsu types. Now I forgotten a lot of what he said, so everything he said might not be 100%.
As for the untainted sharingan idea, he believes that a well-experienced individual with byakugan can awaken an untainted sharingan. Where as the will of the juubi is absent from their eyes it can't effect them like the Uchiha. So the Uchiha power would only pass to them and not he juubi's will. So the eye would activate as a blue or white eye instead of a red one.

No, it's finished. It basically has NO relevance as of now, Kishimoto threw this busted eye design away at the end of part one.

The only possibilty of the Byakugan being relevant again is if kishi somehow implements it in to the sage's story . Which I personally see as a very likely possibility

Like i said... I was only mentioned one time, way back in pt1 and never mentioned again. It'd be really weird if kishi reveals that the hyuga were connected to the sage...

It's complete, just has no meaning to the current storyline

it would be far more ridiculous to say they weren't. Do you know how stupid that sounds?

I like the theory someone made about how the Byakugan ties in with Taoism. I forgot who made it but it explained a lot about both the Doujutsu and the Hyuuga Clan's way of fighting.

it has no relevance again, thinking about minute details only gives headaches

Well, to you and the other two fans of the hyuga clan would. Lol

The only eye techniques that exist in the entire (Canon) series are the Byakugan (Mangekyo) Sharingan, Elder Son’s eyes, and the Rennigan. We already know that the Elder Son’s eyes came from the Rennigan, and we know that the Sharingan is capable of developing into the Rennigan, thus making these 3 eyes related to one another. But wait, what about the Byakugan?

Honestly, I find it absolutely illogical for the Byakugan to not be related to the other Dojutsus in some way, as it would seem completely bizarre for the Byakugan to just be there with no explanation what so ever as to how it came to be.

Not to mention Obito's last mask was white (Byakugan) had tomoes(sharigan) and ripples (rennigan).

More or less it is out of place but, there is no info on it, no backstory on it. Apparently kishi wants to avoid this subject cause it means the Hyuga, or more specifically Hinata or Neji, would've gotten a power-up, so Sasuke returning would be irrelevant to the current time, forcing Sasuke to be the final villain, but that's my conspiracy. Still, my buddy thought of this years ago, but now it seems in the air to me ever since I heard about the relationship between the Hyuga and Uchiha in part one.
To be honest it would make more sense if I could remember all he said.

It was just mutation, Just like any other KKG. anyways the hyuga would suffer from the "curse of hatred" if they were descendants of the elder son.

sure it was, and yet its a dojutsu hinted at being related to the uchiha. There's no way its not related.

They did.

Not necessarily direct descendants of the elder son, more or less just related to the Uchiha from breeding outside clans.

The Senju have always foight the Uchiha through history.

Yet the uzumaki have never fought the hyuga or uchiha nor have the hyuga fought the senju or uzumaki

It seems the uzumaki and hyuga quarelled less than the senju and uchiha

Lol tobi did debunk it. "The descendants of the elder were called the uchiha"
You must be registered for see images
GG hyuga relevance.

and he calls the descendants of the younger son senju? So what, uzumaki aren't related now?

You do realize descendants is a very vague term and can refer as close to as father and son to as far down as 10 generations.
