Is Killer Bee dead?

So it seems that Kishimoto and most people in the battlefield don't give a shit about Bee.

So is he actually dead?

Looking back over the chapters, we can clearly see the Hachibi being extracted out of bee by Madara:

In the Akatsuki's method of extracting the hachibi, Sasuke cut off a tentacle which allowed Bee to escape. However against Madara no tentacles were cut off and Madara being far more skilled than Taka Sasuke wouldn't miss something so simple.

Also, the Hachibi even acknowledges that he failed: "My bad...Bee". If he had a trick up his sleeve he wouldn't think that.

Skip ahead some chapters to where Obito tries to pull out the Hachibi:

We see that Obito only managed to pull out a some of the Hachibi. If only a section of the Hachibi were extracted from Bee, Obito maybe could have pulled out all the chakra.

^ So based on that, we can say that the Hachibi was extracted. And since there is no extra Hachibi chakra and no one to transfer it to Bee we can kinda say that he's going to die (or maybe already is since he isn't an Uzumaki).

Yeah I think that was why Obito just focused on the Ichibi and Hachibi. One of Obito's more useful moments
