I agree. The base is overthinking this.
Sasuke looks up because he is taking a relief.
However, for Hashirama and Madara's panel it is confusing. Hashirama collapses immediately after that and he is not looking up for Sasuke's reasons. He appears as if he is sensing something but then too tired to respond. There is also a little flicker next to Hashi's face which is usually an indication that something has gone through a character's mind/he has suddenly noticed something/someone. Therefor, I believe it is possible for someone to have arrived at the battle scene just at its end. It might have some connection with Madara's survival.

Nice perspective.. It would be pretty cool if naruto and sasuke become the legendary sages that put an end I the corrupt system.. I'm just still not to sure on how they'll end up equal in the end becuase of how naruto has been pretty much confirmed to become stronger than the sage himself.

Yeah, that's what I think. A sage is someone who brings about change through peace and ideals and this is where my theory is basically heading. Both Naruto and Sasuke will act like sages but not the Rikudo Sage.

Actualy, even I'm confused because since he got BM Naruto has been pretty OP in comparison to Sasuke. Sasuke basically needs a Sage mode for himself, if you ask me. Then the equality would be present, one gifted power - Eyes/Sasuke & Body/Kyuubi/Naruto and one attained power - Sage Mode.

Disclaimer - I in no means would be against the fact that Naruto attained KCM and BM without hardwork, so no need to bash. I call it gifted because as Sasuke was born with the eyes, Naruto was almost born with Kurama.

But I think that may be because he's dead tired and after it starts to rain, he just lets his body loose and falls down because it has all ended and the feeling of killing his friend. But what has always remained suspicious is the fact that Madara didn't die, so what happened or who saved him.

If something would have happened after Hashirama collapses, he would remember it. Definitely.v

Could it be that Uzumaki Mito arrived? They did seal the kyuubi in the same fight. Its also likely why he just collapsed, feeling more comfortable exposing his weakness.

That does seem plausible. Awesome point of view man. This makes sense, Mito arrived and Hashirama could expose his weakness and the fact that he wasn't on his guard anymore as reinforcement had come. Great.

Great, This is really great. The author's line at the bottom left basically supports my theory. Thank you for this brilliant contribution davidou. This theory is now more plausible.
