Gai can't be lee's father. Gai is around kakashi's age and lee is around naruto's age. By the time naruto was born, gai and kakashi were already young adolescents.

Gai is great for the comic relief. I love the fact that he is a Taijutsu master, not enough of this in the latest arcs imo. Personality? Not my fav but I don't have anything against him.
