I have come to 2 conclusions.

1. Naruto is not yet awake.

Normally when kishi's commentary is stating fact, he says it outright, such as,

However, because of the "!!?" it is suggested that Naruto has not actually awakened, and kishi is simply putting this idea in our minds in order to bolster his next reveal.

2. Naruto will meet the Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Ootsutsuki in the next 5 chapters at most.

What do you notice? Naruto is no longer in the Kamui dimension, but seems to be in a pool of water.

This pool of water is no ordinary pool of water, but is actually in Naruto's subconscious space where the Kyuubi was kept and where Naruto met the previous Jinchuriki and Bijuu.

Based on this, and the fact that Naruto probably has all 9 of the Bijuu's chakra,

I conclude that Naruto has met any possible requirements for meeting any form of the Sage of Six Paths, whether it's by Chakra Avatar, Bijuu Mind Meld, or Death Related Spirit Connection.

You can tell by the water ripples that he's in the realm were he can talk and see the tailed beast so yeah the sage might be there.
