In 8 gates, yes, for sure. Ultimately though, it would depend on what stage of the fight Gai entered the final gate. Hashirama can very well end him before then.

Part 1 is part of this manga just like part 2. Also, it does not matter whether hashi is stronger than them or not, Hashi is not on Guy's level. When he saw obito (who was not even in control of his power) he stated that he's weaker than him, and he also lost to madara
who did not have SM. real Rinnegan, or the Juubi. On the other hand Guy is fighting madara who does have Hashirama's power as well.

To be honest as long as Gai survives for a significant time period afterwards, I wouldn't even count it as a draw. So long as he actually kills Hashirama before he dies it should be enough.
