Why has Amaterasu never taken anyone out? It never killed anyone important.....

I love the MS and Ems and although I am still catching up on Naruto, I have never seen it be used to kill anyone. For something that is so hyped and so powerful, how come it never gets the job done? Even Enton has become a laughable joke considering that it has never killed anyone either. Other Techniques that are hyped have at least shown to be effective once or twice. Tsukoyomi has taken out Kakashi. Susanoo has killed hydra and Orochimaru and been used to defeat Obito (WIth help from Kuruma). Rasenshuriken has taken out Kakuzu and a couple of Paths from Pain. Chidori has taken out Naruto and Haku and even Obito(Rakiri though). Rasengan has taken out Kabuto, Pain's body, Raikage, Itachi 30% clone (though that was odama,) and more. Sakura has taken out Sasori with her punches. Choji took out someone with his big body. Shikamaru has taken out Hidan with shadow Imitation. Neji Killed kidomaru with gentle fist. Shino has killed someone with his bugs. Bottom line is that every jutsu that has been hyped to be devastating in terms of pure damage has at least taken someone out except for AMATERASU

Here is a list of times Amaterasu or Enton has been used and failed

1) Couldn't kill or take out Sasuke.
2) Couldn't kill or take out Bee
3) Couldn't take out Raikage
4) Couldnt take out fodder Samurai
5) Couldn't even kill Obito when he got directly hit
6) Couldn't even touch Juubito.
7) Couldn't catch raikage
8) Couldn't even hurt Gaara or touch him
9) madara basically laughed it off
10) The Juubi cancelled it.
11) Danzo just reappeared
12) Nagato shinra Tenseid it away


Have the black flames ever taken anyone out that is worth anything? Why are they so useless. They are one of the coolest powers and yet they can't hit anything.

What do you guys think? Why have the black flames been so weak and filled with failures........

PLot didn't make other jutsus be effective though. Even other Ms techniques were far more effective. Hell Kamui, Susanoo, Tsukoyomi, Koto, izanagi, and izanami were shown to be far more effective and were shown to actually be able to do soemthing or take someone oout

thats the thing. IT ONLY TOOK HIS HAND> FOr a jutsu thats supposed to be insta kill, it didnt do shit. Hell it didnt even stop rakiage or even slow him down

If a user wishes to use Ama in a battle, it needs charging up which many high level shinobis can detect and plan a counter attack...
It doesn't ignite the target instantly, so effectively-fast shinobi can avoid it at the last moment...

Plot dictates who the jutsu is used against. Amaterasu can finish off 90% of most characters, it's just Kishi only gave it to 1 person and the only people he fought have special counters for it. Izanagi, Fastest shinobi, Rinnegan users.
