Yh I don't believe it's an actual eye taken from mihawk or the baboon or anything wild like that

In leaning more towards Mihawk advising him on how to train that eye , maybe it will look like the hawks eye or maybe it's a demon eye unique to zoro

And it's a theory, for those who are spouting why ppl believe there has to be something with it
It's a plausible to think so until there is an explanation , simple logic

Two problems with that theory:

1) We already seen Mihawk (chapter 700, and upcoming anime episode will show him too) and he still has his two eyes
2) You can't just give someone an eye, just because it happened in Naruto doesn't mean Oda adds in something weird like that.

Mihawk's eyes are more like a trait I believe than a power, only once during the war there was a thing where there was focus on his eyes, followed by an image of cutting off Luffy's hands. I think the safer bet is that he used color of observation to track Luffy's movement and that Luffy subconsciously used CoO too in order to stop his attack and prevent his hands from being cut off.

Mihawk's eyes are probably his animal trade like all the original Shichibukai had, those were all based on animals.

You do realize that in Chapter 700 it's not actually showing Mihawk Live and in present action.. they were just listing the Sichibukai..

And don't tell me "you can't just give someone an eye".. you can't just eat a fruit and become a Rubber-Man.. or turn your body into fire.. or smoke.. but guess what...... its an Anime/Manga! Anything can happen. Lol

I think no.

Why can't have Zoro lost that eye during training? I doubt his training was easy U_U

No problem.. Lol

I don't see any flaws with it though.. people always say "oh you can't just transfer a new eye" but its manga/anime! Lmao I'm like "you can do ANYthing!".. lol.. if you can eat a fruit that turns your body into rubber, fire, smoke, ice, springs, magma, etc.. you can pull of an eye transfer. lol

I like the baboon eye theory though.. I never heard or thought of that before.. but you reminded me that those baboons copied Mihawks fighting style and what not, so I think it would be pretty cool if Zoro has one of those eyes and can now use it for his own benefits.. Lol

Ye...One Piece isn't known for using our laws of nature xD

So they were listing the shichibukai and Oda just happened to draw the old pictures of them because that makes sense ? So why is post-skip law there wise guy ?

And yes I will keep telling you that because in One Piece it's pretty much anything goes in the realm of Devil Fruits, but taking out an eye and disconnecting all the nerves and putting it back in another persons head and expect it to work is not Oda's style. The only way i could see this have a small chance if Law used his room and operating skills to do that. Besides it would be a complete rip off of Naruto and the eye shit going on over there. Oda would never do that. Might as well have Zoro yelling Bankai ! for his next power up.

Multiple people have said it already, but I don't believe it's an eye transplant either. :| I think the OP's theory is more likely, or it could just be an injury he got during his training. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if it was just that.

Obviously, Zoro met Rukia and became a Shinigami. Rukia was kidnapped and he went to save her, to do that he unlocked Bankai. His inner Demon is actually a Hollow, and he then went to Hueco Mundo when Nami got kidnapped. There he went and killed everything, came back and defeated ______ (can't think of some Aizen equivalent). Then some random war broke out, he went and got more OP. Once that war was over, 2 years passed and he re-joined with Luffy and co. (and to not make Zoro stronger than Luffy - Luffy trained on King Kai's planet and can do Kaio Ken now.) Chopper is 9 tailed demon deer.

Nah, I don't think Oda will go sharingan/Nip-Tuck on Zoro. It's too simple, too uninspired, we've already seen it and honestly, Oda can do way better than that.

yup, i think now it is more related to Zoro and ''Demons'' as it has been

Probably open it when he is going all out

It just makes no sense no one has commentated on it

All I can say is it's not impossible. That would mean though, that once he adjusts to it, he would be comfortable with opening both eyes without stress. If that's the case.

Ge this....Maybe he just got his eye sliced out? This isn't Nardo. Pre-TS people were saying that Sanji has the sharingan. Ridiculous. Im leaning toward Zoro either just losing his eye or keeping it closed as a training method. If Zoro only sees with one eye his eyesight is very limited therefore he'll have to use CoO in order to sense the enemies that he can't see. The one eye methmight be for CoO.

Another possibility

however i still believe it is one of the following:

1. Advice from Mihawk to Zorro - something like this but definitely some sort of training

2. I am over thinking and it is just a basic handicap given to the first mate of the Future Pirate king with no explanation

How about it's just a wound he received in training and he indeed lost an eye. Anyway, if he's really training by closing the eye, we're about to see in his fight with Pica.

i dont think there is a power in it i think he just prefers to keep it shut, but it is functional and his swordsmanship will increase when he opens it from the simple fact that 2 eyes are better than 1.

he has the monkey king's eye. which are kinda like mihawk's if am not wrong. he pmaybe promised not to reveal it unless he has to...

Is tghere anyone who thinks that Zoro's eye was cut by those monkeys... and that is all. I mean Zoro stopped showing his demonic spirts the moment he lost that sword.

You must be registered for see images
Thus the demonic sprits were resting on that sword... so Zoro lost all that U_U

Ahh this is a good point...

You know what they say, once the demonic spirited sword rusts away, its too late to reclaim the demonic spirits. ;)

Would be nice if when he opens it, it's all red like when he used Asura or whatever it was against Kaku.

There has to be an explanation to it for sure.
Oda wouldnt just take an eye away from zoro to make him look cool because it is definitely a handicap for him.
I guess we will see soon enough
