All the way though he is shown as a cold heartless killer who would kill his own family and ruin his brothers life just to get stronger...

Itachi is actually really loving and put himself through all that pain for the sake of everyone else

Itachi has been described as invincible by the embodiment of Madara and has never lost a single fight. I agree he is totally over rated and people are far too gay for him but MAN you can't say he's not strong and cool.

yes for sure because he had ms then and u have to think about how he was leader of the anbu when he was just 13, hell if kakashi was still in the anbu at that time itachi would be his leader, too many shinobi have praised itachi, as long as he had genjutsu he was s-rank, even for his untruthful crime he was considered s-rank

So as many know I dislike the Uchiha. That being said, in a story that deals in ninja material, Itachi by far is the most ninja like character in the entire Naruto Universe. His background, the things he has done, and his reasons for doing them are all very ninja like and the most well written of arguable most all the characters in the entire series.

Couple that with his calm and collected personality and you get the huge fan base that he has. It may hate the Uchiha, but Itachi is probably the most tolerable ninja of the clan. I respect his character, but can't stand his fanboys/fangirls. XD

he's not overrated, because he has proved his worth too many times, so many shinobi praise him and even in his death he saved the shinobi world what more can u ask for, only naruto has done more than itachi....and itachi vs minato goes to itachi...tsukoyami gg
