He doesn't need to see amaterasu coming. He's constantly moving fast. Itachi wouldn't have time to focus his amaterasu on him.

that is a stupid counter,it is unknown if he is faast enough to dodge amaterasu, gai can't run super fast all the time, he has to stop at least when changing direction/turning back and he doesn't even start in gates, but even if it would happen there are 2 spammer meaning that he can't run in the right direction all the time, avoiding sasuke's attack could mean running towards itachi

we don't know if the elephant foot can get past susanoo but it does not look very destructive,

it's 2v1, while gai is attacking one of them the other one would try to hit him with susanoo/totsuka/amaterasu

gai is being overrated because madara likes dancing with him

I'll give itachi and Sasuke perfect susanoo to start out in just like Madara's and they still get fodderized in milliseconds. I'm sorry, it's just the truth.

8th Gate Gai fodderizes. He's faster than Rikoudu Madara, faster than Rikoudu Madara's reflexes, and he's a planet buster. Even if he's not a planet buster, Evening Elephant trashes the two Perfect Susanoos.
