Believe the hype. They turtle in Itachi's Susano'o and block with Yata until Gai dies. They try anything else, and I mean anything, and they die a horrible death. Itachi doesn't need Sharingan genjutsu to trap people in genjutsu so foot watching would do nothing, but even his standard genjutsu is meaningless since 8 gates Gai is always in a state of unimaginable pain, pain that would automatically break him out of genjutsu. Itachi knew what the eff he was talking about when he told Kisame not to mess with Gai. U_U

if he does not look in the eyes he will not see amaterasu coming therefore he will burn, we don't know if the elephant wind foot will destroy susanoo(probably not), sasuke can just spam his kakutsuchi shuriken

He doesn't need to see amaterasu coming. He's constantly moving fast. Itachi wouldn't have time to focus his amaterasu on him.
