Why didn't Madara use Susanoo against Gai? Even just the ribcage would have buffered the blows a small amount.

I am serious wondering now if Madara can use ninjutsu at all...

Its been shown before that that black stuff isn't as reliable as its made out to be. For example how did Kamui work on it? Does Kakashi have sage mode now??? Joke.

Mmm, I have my doubts, blunt force trauma isn't going to defeat Madara his self regeneration likely negates that kind of damage after a few seconds.

Possible but I somehow doubt that Madara would play around after this display. In which case we should see some real feats from Madara next chapter or when ever we go back to this fight. If he doesn't use Ninjutsu after this point I have to say something is fishy...

Now this is good point, is a possible that becoming the Juubi Jin comes with SERIOUS short comings...

He must have thought those black round thingys would lessen the impact. He seems surprised Kakashi was able to make a hole. He got hit directly but damage was minimal. I'm confused because Madara seemed so worried about the strong impact but he withstood it like it was nothing

Susanoo was never hit by something like 8th gate... The kages were able to break it using Taijutsu, and Guy is stronger than them now.

the black orbs are stronger than susano. the only time it has been penetrated is when naruto and sasuke broke through it with a susano infused kurama. before that even broke through it with the sword naruto had to make nine senpo odama rasengans and have the rookies use them to weaken it first, and by guy using the eighth gate. the susano by comparison has been hasn't taken damage from suck powerful attacks but still has been broken.

it is probably more likely that he feels that he doesn't need susano. maybe being the juubi's jin doesn't allow the use of MS techs.

He can't use it its been said countless times that in order to use sussanoo you need both eyes. Madara has one. Its the same reason why Kakashi can't use it
