i agree.. kishi has limited a lot of people in order to give more people a chance and draw out the battle more.. kishi has limited madara, kakashi and minato

also its quicker for madara to use those black orbs rather than a meteor.. those blackorbs also contain a lot of power

and for this war to make a real big impact kishi needs to kill off some of the bigger characters.. like he is about to do to gai..

Madara is no more an edo-tensei , he can't use those meteors on himself now , he has to be sure that his black defense will be enough against meteors , maybe he isn't sure or he knows it's not enough.

Meteors against Gai's speed and Minato's teleportation would be completely ineffective , Gai has 10* the time to kill Madara before one meteor touches the earth.
Minato will have the time to teleport everybody except Madara.

If you had a standard sword lvl99 (meteors) , and you find the best blade of the world , say Totsuka blade(black balls) , what sword will you use?
Obviously Totsuka blade and Madara is obviously using black balls.

The fight is but 5 seconds in and Madara has been the Juubi Jin for hardly anytime at all, and more importantly was speed blitzed and ppl are complaining about meteors and suaanoo's?

the fact that he just survived that attack and looks hungry for more was more impressive than the meteors and his capturing of the Biiju

So it is a war. It just doesnt neccesarily feel like it.


Also in one piece, the marineford war(which people love to death) had only 3 die.(ace oars jr and wb)

SO you dont need death for a war to be good.
