Gai in 8th gates mode is obviously stronger than Hashirama.

Although it doesn't last for that long it seems, and he dies after, so yeah.

If Gai's punch has that much force i wouldn't be surprised for it to be able to break susanoo

Yet if i remember it took Bm Minato+ Bm Naruto creating a Massive Bijuu sized rasengan Fused with Senjutsu chakra to Crack/Break Obito's one

So i doubt Gai would go all out in 7th gate if his intent is to capture him alive.
