minato was rushing and power/big attacks are not the way to defeat Obito (Gai made this very clear). Using feints or speed is the way to beat him, minato was already the fastest character alive and he had his FTG kunai scattered on the ground, what more did he need?

Minato then proceeded to rotfl stomp him low diff, so why on earth would he bother to enter sage mode against an inferior opponent that can't even match his base form. Sage mode wouldn't have changed the outcome of the fight.

Going into sage mode would have been silly because even though the outcome would remain the same (Obito would probably have been injured even more badly) he would have wasted precious time. The time he would have used to enter sage mode is the same time Kurama would have blown away Hiruzen and half the village if minato did not defeat Obito promptly and arrive to stop Kurama's attack.

lmao, how does any of that prove that Itachi is faster than Kabuto? In the first gif Itachi just moves away from Hakugeki, he doesn't dodge it or anything. In the second gif, Itachi was concerned protecting Sasuke from the start, that's got nothing to do with speed. In the third pic you prove my point, Kabuto easily dodged Itachi's slash it didn't even hurt him. If Itachi was faster then it would have it Kabuto full stop. And in the fourth pic, Kabuto says himself that he doesn't want to hurt Sasuke he's aiming to get Itachi back that's his main priority and Itachi doesn't give a shit about what happens to him because he's an Edo that can keep coming back.

It's not about going easy, it's about being practical. He either goes sage mode wastes more time and kills Obito but at the expense of the villages demise.
