There is nothing left for them to do. Madara is a god right Now, We are approaching the final stages of the story and the only ones that can get development right now are the main characters alongside Madara.

Naruto and Sasuke Vs Madara
Naruto vs Sasuke final fight

No time for hyuuga development that wont do much to the main characters in terms of moving plot.

There is no possible way Kishi hyped up the Hyuga clan that much, to just end it on Neji's death and never give us any kind of real backstory or a high level of development with them, compared to the other clans. Hinata will get something.
