Gaara's character progression

I was rewatching the chunin exam fights and it was weird watching gaara acting all psycho bloodthirsty killa on everyone again, I admit I kinda miss it but current Gaara is such an awesome character. Then I thought about how much he's gone through and overcome and how he overcame his hatred because of naruto and went on to become Kazekage so he could protect his village and friends that he cherishes. Mad respect to my man Gaara. And even now he's totally tanking through this war.
What do you guys think?

Seeing as how he has the same background as Naruto , he is the only character in Naruto who's change into a good character & Naruto friend (not a wanker like some haters say) was & it is great , love his progression , definitely one of the best written characters in the manga .

Well considering naruto was the only person to ever truly a knowledge him as a person instead of a monster. He pulled garra out of the darkness of his hatred. I imagine you would be pretty grateful. Don't condescend on everything naruto has done just because you don't like the character

Him being a Kazekage is a question mark in my book but I ignore it because he's not worth discussion...
