At this point it isn't about Rin. She was his trigger, but his motivation is to change the world. To Obito, this world is wrong because Rin is gone. Because this shinobi system caused her death.

Ultimately, he desires to erase the current shinobi system in a perfect dream world. This ultimately prevents the loss of loved ones, but also the return of loved ones lost. He'd be able to prevent the event that he experienced from ever happening again. As a bonus, he'd plausibly be able to recreate an older Rin.

It was a win win. Save the corrupted world from this dreaded system. Maybe get to see the return of Rin... Even if she was an illusion.
