It was SHOWN in the manga that Minato's SM last no longer than 5 seconds .

I like Minato alot, but I honestly thought that Sage Mode was an Asspull for him, like really what can Naruto have that his father doesn't? SM should've been unique to him.

Minato showed us how useless he's is he good against jounin and chunnin but can't compete with big dawgs like guy

He said that he is not good at it because he can't enter it quickly and can't maintain it for much longer which makes it pretty much useless but he has perfect control over senjutsu chakra like Naruto and unlike Jiraiya.

For people that say it didn't last long. I think that it can be explained that Madara just knocked him out of it.

It doesn't take Minato long to enter Sage Mode. He entered it almost instantly.

I could exept him being worse at using Senjutsu chakra inorder to increase his physical atributes and jutsus, but the reasons he gave for being bad at it doesn't correspond with what was shown.
