The other Jiraiya vs Itachi thread was closed in the Naruto discussion section because it was misplaced, so I'll continue from where I left off.

Not at all. SM Jiraiya has constant Sennin chakra going through him via Fukasaku and Shima which breaks genjutsu as shown per Sakura and Naruto. 3T Itachi gets beat via superior CQC and advanced ninjutsu.

Fukasaku and Shima can be placed under genjutsu simultaneously. Jiraiya has to initially realize he's in genjutsu to even attempt to break out of it; which will take some time considering Itachi's genjutsus replicate reality perfectly. That gives Itachi more than enough time to close the gap distance between him and Jiraiya where Itachi can meet him with a lethal attack with a kunai. It took Gyuki like 5 seconds to knock Bee out of Itachi's basic genjutsu where their minds are linked. The aforementioned two frogs won't know Jiraiya is even under genjutsu and it wouldn't even matter anyway because they too can be stricken with one of Itachi's genjutsu.

Additionally, SM Jiraiya can't even touch base Itachi when you consider his speed, as proven when when he kept up with and out-paced both Killer Bee and KCM Naruto simultaneously with little to no effort; both of which are significantly faster than SM Jiraiya. CQC would prove to be Jiraiya's downfall since he'll be begging for a Dusk Crow, or be outclassed in Taijutsu and blizted with speed, due to Itachi's heightened reflexes and Sharingan precognition. Emphatically, SM Jiraiya can't lay a finger, let alone keep up with base Itachi.

As for the Sennin Chakra, that won't help him break out or realize he's in genjutsu; lets not forget his Sage Mode is incomplete. Ask Kabuto (a complete Sage Mode user) who opted to blind himself when going against Itachi.

Can't take this seriously, Jiraiya needs to keep up with full power Kisame let alone Itachi.

Even if ma and pa can distrupt his chakra, Tsukyomi is instant kill.

Sasuke who is of Uchiha blood had Orochimaru in him, yet still had quite an Ordeal breaking it.

He even said that only A sharingan user with Uchiha blood can break his Tsukyomi, so Jiraiya is scewed regardless of
Ma and Pa for help.

Itachi has the ability to by pass sensors, Jiraiya's not a sensor so that doesn't matter.

Yeah, that's why V2 Ay barely dodged Amaterasu from Sasuke.what with all the space he had at the Kage Summit. What does Jiraiya even do?

Lets overlook the fact that Raikage was standing there without doing anything b4 the execution of jutsu for the sake of ur argument.I don't remember saying anything like Jiraiya can dodge amaterasu.

(after Nagato's warning that is) even b4 Itachi opens his eye to cast jutsu and yet u think Jiraiya don't even have time to make two hand signs? or Run away from Itachi LOS? or make clones as a diversion?

Anyway, genjutsu ends this, in whatever form. Dusk Crow or Finger Genjutsu will place Jiraiya in an illusion without notice, giving Itachi more than enough time to close the distance between them and then go for a lethal blow with a kunai; similar to what he did to Orochimaru when only 13 years old.

Plz,U are insulting Jiraya if u actually think finger genjutsu would work on him,even Guy who is good for nothing when it comes to Ninjutsu can counter an A rank genjutsu,Yet Jiraiya who is skilled enough to learn Sage mode can't counter it?

Additionally, there's a slew of Naruto characters that looked right into Itachi's eyes even with intel.

Name one wise Kage level shinobi with considerable intel on Itachi.then I'll admit that Itachi beats him at the beginning of the battle.

Inb4: Kakashi,He only did it because he has sharingan and he thought he can counter Itachi and I hope I don't have to explain what Kakashi did during their second battle.

Oh come on guys,Iam an Itachi fan as well but it is like super downgrading Jiraya if we think he is going down that easily. I admit that Itachi can force him to look into his eyes by out smarting him but Jiraya looking at Itachi's eyes even after knowing what Itachi is capable of is just plain stupid,not even a super idiot would do something like that.Yes,I know that Itachi defeated Orochimaru no dif when he is 13Y old but Orochimaru is super arrogant and is not a wise dude otherwise he stands a fair chance against Itachi.

End of the day: I said everything I wanted to say in this post and Iam not going to continue this as it is not going to change anything and I know how this argument'll end up. Itachi wins this but it is definitely not no dif.

It takes less than one sec for Itachi to kill anyone with Tsukuyomi.Jiraiya still suffers the effect even if he managed to break Tsukuyomi(which is not going to happen IMO). The best Jiraiya can do against Itachi is to avoid eye contact.
