Is Genjutsu

Is it the most powerful, or useful, of the types of fighting styles?

Like:
Ninjutsu
Taijutsu
Kenjutsu.

It definitely seems to be, even a weak genjutsu is helpful in a battle. It can paralyze and gain information among many other things.

That's why the Uchiha were feared so much, and, heck, even the current war is focused on stopping a genjutsu.

I just feel like if I were given the choice, it would be the obvious answer.

That's why Sasuke, Kurenei, Obito, Kabuto, Kakashi, Tayuya, and Madara were all able to use it in battle.

If used correctly, Genjutsu is the most versatile, deadly, and powerful battle style there is.

Kurenei was able to use a low genjutsu to end Itachi. Of course, if he didn't have the Sharingan.

^^that's only due to the fact that Madara and Obito(the main villains) are uchihas-so genjutsu is pointless(Unless you use sound, but that's extremely difficult to master). Furthermore, the whole world is fighting to stop the infinite tsukyomi, which coincidentally is a genjutsu.

OT-Genjutsu is great to master, as it gives you a chance to defeat shinobis who are more powerful than you are overall, as not a lot of shinobis specialise in it.

Actually the whole war revolves around the casting of genjutsu.

It is a trick. It depends on when and how you use it in battle. Like Sasuke used it on Danzo tricking him into believing he had another sharingan. Genjutsu are easily broken. Only MS genjutsu is super effective.

Even weak, easily broken, genjutsu are effective. Look at Sasuke against Danzo.

Even if it's a weak genjutsu though, it gives the person and opening. Kurenei almost killed Itachi and he had the Sharingan.
Sasuke's weak genjutsu gave him a victory against Danzo.

Madara used it to control the kyuubi and fought Hashirama at the same time and even plans to use genjutsu to take over the world and create his own peaceful illusion. Sasuke has made great use of it throughout the series and used it to control Manda in the Deidara fight as well as against Danzo. The others you mentioned have utilized it pretty well too. I honestly don't see any drawbacks to using genjutsu, it helps in every situation.

Yeah, I was just kidding as well. If a character can use it, then it's great for them. It most likely is the best type of fighting style. You can control people with it lol.
