Pointless excuse. Given that Omoi cut off his Chakra threads easily and Sasori never reconnected them in a speedy manner. There was a large lag in time, which allowed Kankaru to reconnect his and pull Sasori down, until his face met the dirt and dug a trench.

Either she bursts completely into paper or turns into paper angel form and fights like that; in both cases, sasuke's screwed. He already had a hard time against deidara while he was flying on a slow dragon, exactly what is he going to do against a woman who can burst into paper when he launches an attack, or simply quickly fly away to evade?
