Minato's true chakra nature?

Hey NarutoBase! JD again coming at you with an interesting question. So as we all know, Minato created the Rasengan, right? But is the Rasengan really just a chakra-based technique with no nature affinity? Some suggest that the regular Rasengan has no element and does not gain its wind-type affinity until it evolves to the Rasenshuriken. However, I found an old scan that may prove otherwise.

First panel; check it. What does this mean exactly? Did Naruto simply add his wind element chakra to so that he could combo attack with Yamato? Or is the Rasengan actually a wind-type technique? Would this also make Minato a wind affinity since he created the technique? I have not seen Minato showcase any other elemental-based moves so I am quite curious as to what you guys think. Have not seen this touched on at all so let me know what you guys think!

Nope Naruto simply added his chakra nature too rasengan. It was minatos intention to add his element to rasengan but he died before he could do so.

Yeah, I kinda figured that. This is the only scan I could find that has "Fuuton: Rasengan" but still, I thought it was interesting. Didn't see anyone else catch this and it just raised a bit of speculation for me.

It is unknown if Minato has any nature transformation. Fuuton rasengan is a step between rasengan and FRS. It has wind chakra in it unlike regular rasengan.

It should be obvious that he does have a chakra nature tbh. We just don't know what it is. Good chance that it's wind though.

I agree with this. Every ninja has some type of nature affinity, correct? Even if they don't know how to use it.. Example; Sasuke used mostly fire techniques in early part 1 but later discovered that lightening was his true affinity. Also, Naruto didn't know his nature type until part 2. So Minato just never got around to figuring out his own nature I guess? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about any of my points here! Thanks

He probably does have one since he is a kage and wanted to make technique similar to, if not FRS, but we haven't seen him yet using any. But normal rasengan isn't made out of wind chakra.

That's one thing that really bothers me about Minato.. As much as I love him, has arsenal is so limited. What does he have other than mediocre taijutsu, Rasengans, and FTG? Sure he gets Sage Mode and KCM (in edo form) but what do those do for him? Increase his speed and reaction time? Because an FTG user hailed as the fastest shinobi reeeeallly needs a speed boost, right? :vincent:

He doesn't need anymore techs we just need to see his nature release.

He was only adding a little less wind chakra to it, so consider it a less destructive version of rasenshuriken and just a bit of wind chakra fused with a base rasengan.

Wouldn't a less destructive version of Rasenshuriken just be the Mini Rasenshuriken? >___>

Minato probably does have a wind chakra nature, even if that scan is false. Chakra natures are genetic and passed down through genes (Hiruzen, Asuma, and Konohamaru all use Katon - 3rd raikage and A both use Raiton - the whole Uchiha clan used Katon), so if Naruto has Fuuton, either Kushina or Minato also does.

Minato's nature is still unknown.. the rasengan is just a normal pure chakra technique.. if it wasnt then part 1 naruto would not have been able to do it..

i do believe Minato has wind affinity due to how easily minato cut through the tentacle of the 8 tails it would also suit his style a lot
