I dont understand how any1 that was a fan of part 1 could possibly be enjoying whats going on in the manga now.Its just alot of bad writing, random shit and who can swallow the juubi contest lol and I wish the die hard fans would quit acting like kishi is perfect. he's backed himself into a wall and im curious to see how he ends this manga. part 1 was crafted masterfully and part 2 started off pretty good but imo things went to hell when he decided to have a war and bring everybody from the dead back. and as far as im concerned the manga should be called "Madara" now

Well I wasn't a fan of part 1 sooooo there ya go. There was maybe 3 cool fights in part 1, whereas in part 2 cool fights happen damn near constantly. Part 1 was seriously lame compared to part 2

Kishi tends to make huge plot twists, but I'm sure he'll conclude this war arc with a bang. n.n

War was a failure. Should've thought it through. But I loved Part 2 a lot more than Part 1 since my boy Shiki's got a lot of shine.

Oh look, another whiner fueled by nostalgia. The reason the manga only now seems worse is because you're reading it in the worst format possible, a little chapter every week so it can be dissected, speculated on and torn apart. When the mangas over as a whole i'm sure everyone will be more appreciative of what they've been given.

It's all one big story, there's no point splitting it up into little bits.

I love part one. Back when tactical prowess could overcome a large chakra pool and devistating techs. Back when even the strongest shinobi could be killed with a kunai or a sword. Back when kishi was creative.

Now its all too reminisent of dbz. Its just whoever has the bigger power leveel and strongest techs. No diversity in the fights. I particularly speaking about the war arc. Not all of part two was awful but if kishi dosent pick this shit up soon, that's how ill unfortunatly remeber it.

I'm always seeing this "part 1 > part 2" thing whichever forum I visit... and I'm already tired of it.

Both of the 'parts' are the same story written almost in the same period of time, by the same author (or perhaps part 1 was written by Kishi's twin brother? lel)
Anyway, I can never understand how one can not like Shippuden when he calls the original series a 'masterpiece'... in Shippuden things got way more intense and interesting. Shippuden contains IMO the best arc of the entire series (Pain invasion arc), it has the biggest plot twists of the series (Itachi turning out to be a good guy, Tobi's true identity), it has such major events as the freaking World War, it contains arguably the saddest scenes of the entire series (Jiraiya's death, Kushina's story) and many more.

I look at those so called 'parts' as the same thing, same series, same story called Naruto.

Well said, but I just can't see it that way. I do agree that the pain arc was the most riveting arc,but the series has its fair share of incosistencies and they don't start until shipuuden. The war arc has brought out the worst of these. Imo

You see I found it fishy when part 2 started with rap song for an opening. . . .
