Itachi burned the crow with Ameterasu. Even if he didn't, he can only use it once every 10 years and he used it recently to try to get Sasuke to protect Konoha.

wouldn't it make more sense to use prime itachi? you know the one who wasn't sick, coughing up blood, knocking on deaths door?

1) kisame confirmed that itachi's sickness is what kept him from spamming (uchiha's have high chakra lvls)the fact that itachi was even able to use KG and ninjutsu in his near-death state is a testament to his endurance and stamina.

2) every single fight, itachi has been in situations where he had to hold back or protect someone.

3) what's this about tosuka blade is just like sussano arrow? didn't tosuka instantly pierce orochimaru/nagato?

4) sagemode can only sense chakra (tosuka is spiritual) everything else is just perception. kabuto with his eyes closed couldn't even counter the jutsu itachi used right before he cut the "horn" off kabuto with his sword. what would've happened if that had been tosuka instead of the sword??? game over. despite sage kabuto is anti uchiha, he's still not perfect unlike current madara.

now, if you're using the unhealthy itachi to be "safe" because the databook uses it. then fine. itachi can't "spam". but I don't see any reason why he would need to spam to begin with. this fight between the two will be solved very fast.

Current Kabuto can basically solo Itachi NO DIFF.
How? we saw that Itachi's only hope at defeating Kabuto was through Izanami.
But now that Izanami has no effect on Kabuto, we can go back to the original problem,
visual genjutsu has NO EFFECT on kabuto.
His reaction time is on par with Itachi's if not better.
Water counters any itach firestyle
Amaterasu is dodged by simply going underground. Kabuto would be able to sense the pressure and see the blood from Itachi's eyes.
Tsukoyomi is Null
Susanoo..lol, oh susanoo..Totsuka is dodge just like susanoo's arrow, white dragon is enough to weaken itachi's susanoo. Inorganic transformation would work well too.

As we all know, Itachi's only choice would be to rely on either amaterasu or Susanoo. Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, firestyle would all be meaningless.
And we all know Itachi cannot just spam amaterasu, nor can he sit and spamm susanoo. Kabuto can simply outlast Itachi. as he is constantly taking in natural energy so he will never tire.

Feel free to post a LOGICAL counter-argument.

DSM Kabuto is pretty much anti-uchiha. Alive Itachi doesn't stand much of a chance. Edo Itachi has a better shot at victory, but not by much.

In that fight Itachi didn't use his full arsenal (Final/complete Susano'o, Totsuka, Yata) + Kabuto is an anti-Uchiha and bad match up for Itachi, so i wouldn't really say that he is stronger than Itachi, but probably we will never found out who is stronger.

Kotoamatsukami requires eye contact, Kabuto can cut off his sight and rely on other senses like he did in his fight with Sasuke and Itachi, rendering visual genjutsu useless.

Itachi was given Shisui Mangekyou fully activated he used it once before if he didn't why did he have to wait another 10 yrs ? the only reason he burnt it is because he had no more use for it because he wasn't alive thats like bring up the sage of the six path saying well he isn't the strongest anymore because Madara has his juubi power no ones running with that lol

Nobody knows when Mifune was put under the genjutsu. It was obviously during their conversation when at some point, Mifune did make eye contact. You do know that when having important conversations, eye contact is usually a must. Kishi didnt add that in there because, well, it should be pretty obvious. Izanami and Izanagi are the ONLY genjutsu sharingan genjutsu that dont require eye contact/
