I hope Gai doesn't die a useless death of motivation. I want Gai to go down a OG and do some damage to Madara were he has Madara has to retreat. Rock Lee lost his Best friend/ Rival and his teacher within hours

That'll probably be after Guy Fails, and they end up beating Madara.

Rinne Tensei only kills user if they low on Chakra, and doesn't blind the user either, which means they can use it anytime they want, but rarely.

Kishi has been building up to this since the chuunin exams. Ever since he first mentioned that there were eight gates and that the consequence of opening the eighth gate was death, he's been building up to this. We've seen Gai use progressively more and more gates to overcome difficult enemies. We saw him open 5 then 7 to win difficult battles, and he always opens enough gates to win.

Now finally there is an enemy that Gai cannot beat by opening only 7 gates. The only way to win, and to do so while saving Lee and demonstrating his power to his Rival Kakashi, is to do it now.

Kishi has built it up too much to just ignore it now. It's going to happen and Gai is going to die from it. Of course, so long as Kabuto and Rinnegan-Obito are on the battlefield, there's no such thing as "permanent" death. I am not the only person to suspect that a large-scale Rinne Tensei will be a way for Obito to redeem himself for his past mistakes.
