If you were to replace Naruto as the main charecter, who would you chose?

So many good choices I myself would love to see more of these backgrounds to these characters that we didn't get to see.

There's quite a lot of choices... one of my favorite would be Itachi with Danzo and Tobi as the main villains. The story will proceed from his point of view after just joining the Akatsuki in the earlier chapters (flashbacks will show his dispute w/ Sasuke). Eventually, Sasuke will kill Itachi like in the manga and he will resume the role as the main character. I've read stories in which the main character shifts to somebody else and I liked them x_x

I love to read stories were naruto is altered in many different ways. My favorite story is called "Sage" And it was made on fanfiction.net. It is very good.

Rock Lee - Seeing his backstory of how he actually rises from fodder to badass with Taijutsu only, competing against people with ninjutsu and such. Opening the gates little by little learning to hone his skills.

Shikamaru - A lazy yet intellectual shinobi? That's original as fk for a main character but naggers with a brain the size of a sand grain would complain about too much strategy and talking and such

Genma - This guy oozes cool and would make a sick main character if not support

Neji - His whole fate thing would be annoying since he would keep bringing it up but nevertheless would still be a good main
