Didnt know so many people liked Gai

Starting to notice how alot of people are starting to say Gai solos now. Before, Gai was barely ever mentioned.
But now, he is making the top 10s, people are saying he can possibly solos hashirama, way stronger than kakashi now, etc.
Kinda reminds me about the time when Tsunade fanboys suddenly appeared when she used byakugo to fight Madara, or when Kabuto fans came out of nowhere, tobirama fans too. I thought the bandwagon scene had already come and gone?

8th gate feats have still yet to be shown, so why suddenly is "Gai > Hashirama" or Rikudo Madara>Gai High diff when Gai was barely ever on anyone's list?

Gai has never been my personal fav. But I did really like his charactor he is probably my 2 favorite but the spotlight is on him so he is getting more attaintion than some of the other charectors
