I thought there would be people here giving Gai the thumbs up on the way out. I thought someone would say something about how Gai's father is only a Genin and was able to wipe out most of the 7 Swordsmen. Even if you don't like the chapter, can you at least show some respect for Gai/Lee fans? I am so disappointed. If I could rate the comments in this thread, I'd rate them lower than the lowest rating.

Thanks for everything, Gai. May your Evening Elephant do major damage next chapter!! Even if it only puts a scratch on Madara, at least SOMEONE soloed him.

Gai is saying the last words of his dad , cause he wants to protect Lee.
Dai protected Gai , cause Dai cares about his son more than anything.
If Lee was born 8 month after Dai's death , wouldn't Gai try to take care of Lee more than anything , teaching him Dai's rule?

Is Lee his little brother?How many flashback chapters are we going to read to see that?



I don't want to see Gai die in front of edo-Minato or before edo-Minato.

I really am surprised by all the people hating this chapter because of the flashbacks. To me, they were meaningful and gave even more depth to Gai's character and his father-son-like relationship with Lee. It's a shame to see how many people still don't know Naruto isn't all about giant demons and god-like ninja smacking each other around. smh

I thought it was nice to get some more insight into Guy. He could have turned into an angry kid who resented his father's ways and instead he embraced his dad's ways and passed them onto Lee. Guy has lived his principles and is ready to die for them in order to protect his comrades. Guy has a 3 in Ninjutsu and Genjutsu so unlike his dad he did learn some other jutsu other than taijutsu.

For those haters that can't be bothered unless there's a battle: Stop reading and stop *****ing. You get to read it for free and no one asked you to wait up all night to read it, that was your choice. Kishi is not going to care about what a bunch of people who don't contribute to his bottom line have to say. This is probably Kishi's way of paying tribute to a character who is probably going to die.

For me its a good chapter, we saw what 8 gates can do, i mean gai's father killed all the 7swordsmen by himself? Wow thats something..
Not to mention his father is only genin, gai is a jonin maybe he has improved his 8 gates,stronger than his dads'

Lol I feel like Kishi could've just shown the 8 gates showdown first and then just 2 pages of flashbacks later. These flashbacks are too much, I feel most of them should've been shown before the war.
