If Gai dies, Kakashi dies confirmed

Kakashi's personality and character has always been tempered by Gai's lighthearted personality. There is no doubt Kakashi would not be the same person without Gai's help. How many missions have we seem those two go on together? It is extremely hard to imagine Kakashi going on after the war like business as usual if his main best friend in BOTH Naruto and Naruto Shippuden dies.

I agree with supreme hokage, if the mask doesnt come off, he probably wont die. As a huge fan and follower of the naruto series in general and not a nit picky critic, i fully enjoy the series in every aspect and would hope as a fan that kakashi who was a vital part of naruto would not be killed off.

Gai might not die because we don't know about any power-ups for Naruto or Sasuke yet. However, if Gai dies this actually constitutes that Kakashi won't die. In the latest chapter Gai mentions he has finally matched kakashi and he is even winning. That refers to the number of contests they've had in the past. Currently Gai is winning by 1 so it would be the perfect time to win against kakashi for good by dying while he's ahead what is what the springtime of youth is all really about

Imo Kakashi was always a type of character who would have a tragic, sacrificial death. During Pein's arc, it was pretty much it, but I am not sure it saves him from it happening a 2nd time.
