Would shinra tenses work on 8 gates?

Yes probably but it will have little to no effect for the RED BEAST

It all does not make any sense. I can't understand how Naruto could even beat Nagato to begin with. Tendou can repulse and attract. It controls the gravitational forces. He can just lift Gai into air, and prevent him from exerting any sort of force, he won't be able to hit or move or whatever. He should be all at the mercy of the Rinnegan user. Remember how Kakashi and other ninjas were manipulated by things like Bansho'tenin pull?

It is a hax power that even Kishi does not understand how it works it seems...

The jutsu was from a pain body though. I'd guess the jutsu would be more powerful if perform directly from Nagatos body, and Sage Madara would make it many times even more powerful. So I'd wait and see for now.

When Nagato fought Naruto/Killer Bee, I think he said something along the lines that he is now even more powerful. And he does not need to exert chakra on that wireless control of the separate bodies. Rinnegan, in its home-host, should probably be multiple fold more powerful.

Madara though, does not use any Rinnegan at all it seems...

I agree, we don't even know the chakra output that Nagatos releases for each pain, and it makes sense that not all 100% of his power could be utilized wirelessly.
As for Madara he can use it since have used Rinnegnan techs like chakra absorption against Narutos raise gain before. It's just that he's too Op and he's got too many options to use in a fight right now. I do want to see more Rinnegnan techs though since I think it looks awesome and I don't think we've seen it's full potential just yet.

Madaras normal shinra tensei since he is rokudo sennin yes he solos tailed beasts with 1 b***h slap no wayanybody stands a chance against a tensei from him.
his attraction jutsu draws down meteors so he can easily solo with a push.
