Minato's FTG Compensates for that, though. FTG + BM is a deadly combination. Sage Mode is useless since Naruto can't touch him.

Nothing suggests that he can't,he said that it takes more time and he can't maintain it longer that's it.Minato is a perfect sage, he has no reason for not being able to combine them.

why didn't he do it then? Surely if he can't do it when his son's life is at stake then he can't do it in a normal fight but rather a last resort as he did with Madara.

What U said isn't a valid reason,Madara didn't use PS against bijju's but he didn't,that dosen't mean that he can't use it same logic can be applied to Minato and I don't get what sittuation ur were talking about,Minato never needed SM to save Naruto.If U are talking about fighting Obito then Naruto fighting Obito is a wise decision as it takes more time to absorb natural energy for Minato and he can't maintain it for longer period like Narutnce again he is a perfect sage and he has perfect control over senjutsu chakra so there is no reason for him to be unable to combine them.I'll agree with ur point if U can give me a Valid reson that proves Minato can't combine them.

fine.let us pretend that minato infact can combine them. It takes him way too much time that naruto won't allow Him to do so.sage mode requires you to stay still which naruto obviously won't allow minato to since he will be sensing him absorbing SM especially considering that minato himself admitted that it takes him way too much time.
