hey there
i wanna start full metal series but when i google it i get fma, fma panic and fma brotherhood
can u tell me from where to start or r they just different versions of same thing

Full Metal Panic is of the mecha genre, about Government organizations and arm slaves or robots. It's ecchi.

Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood are different. Magic and badass stuff.

Watch first few episodes of the original FMA(as the beginning of the 2009 series is a bit rushed) and then continue watching Brotherhood.
FMA is amazing... you'll not regret watching it ! =D

FMA and FMA: Brotherhood are the one in the same series. FMAB just decided to stick to the manga, while FMA ran off somewhere with a different plot.

FMA Panic is a totally different series.

While this is the ideal solution, it may be a bit confusing. It would be easier to just watch FMA:B, but it is true that the beginning of the original is better.

Fullmetal Alchemist Broterhood is the story that follows the manga and also what u need to watch
Fullmetal Alchemist catched up to fast on the manga so midway in the anime they took another direction then manga , it's still good but Brotherhood is better

Fullmetal Panic is mecha genre, comparable to some Gundam series

The only thing Fullmetal Alchemist had better was indeed the intro, emotions were better portrayed there, Also one of the most amazing ost's I ever heard , Bratja, it's absolutely magnificent

Fullmetal Alchemist: the Anime that reached the conclusion before the Official FMA Manga was finished. (So the beginning of the Anime is pretty much the same as the beginning of the Manga, but different ending)

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: the Anime that follows the Manga from start to end (So, the legit storyline)

Both are good, and even some people like Fullmetal Alchemist more than Brotherhood.

Just watch FMA Brotherhood imo, one of the best anime. I will watch again when i'll get a free time ^^

Don't confuse yourself by trying to switch between the two. Just watch Brotherhood, it's considered the better version.
