If you look at the chapter, you can see that kishimoto is hurried. Why? I don't know but I do find the ten tails more massive. This could be a different juubi or an inconsistency by kishi.

Juubi makes this arc epicIt has never shown its power in the first place and all readers know it. However, juubi has shown many feats which outclass its hype. We knew it was capable of lifting mountains. What imperfect juubi did was blast a whole mountain range with his normal attack. This is greater than its hype. Then afterwards, it prepared a bijuu dama which is country level. If minato didn't transport it, there would be no ninja world. Well, this bijuu dama still was not the maximum it could do because it did it again afterwards. This means that if it put all its chakra in an attack, it will create utter destruction. He will not swallow oceans or split the land. He would wipe the land and evaporate the oceans. Juubi is not revolved around hype... What did you really expect it to do? I don't know what fans want in the end.

Nope. Kishimoto isn't even trying with madara. Madara hasn't been showing his potent throughout the war arc.
