Nobody is givin Madra a run for his money the way he is now, Juubit soloed Hashirama, Rep-jin soloed Hashirama, Madara is the combination of the two.

Current Madara is way above Hashirama, not to mention he also has Hashirama's sage mode which gives him acces to all his SM abilites.

He doesn't need senjutsu, the only thing that can hurt a Juubi jinchurki is either Senjutsu or Taijutsu.

Anyway. Waaay waaay back ago, they first talked of Gate 8, where "someone will temporarily have the power greater than a Kage added to their strength". Since Gai is already in-between S-rank and Kage level.... But that still doesn't mean Madara will be damaged that much. To assume Gai's Eighth Gate will damage Madara is to assume "Red Steam" is Nature Energy.

Nah, Obito just took a part of SM to be able to dodge Madara's Onmyoudon.

I think Gai will put up a better fight than the others did tbh, 8th gates have been hyped for like 600 chapters.

I think Gai knows he is just buying time, and he may be able to hurt Madara, but he won't defeat him. Gai has to die because of the 8th gate, but Madara may kill him when he starts feeling the effects of his life draining. Just depends on how long that will take and how much time he can buy for the others.
