He didn't intercept it he just wasn't overwhelmed by it.

Madara didn't even use a Jutsu to defend himself, other than cutting Afternoon Tiger with his staff. All we really know is that Madara's speed/strength increase from the Juubi isn't enough to fight Guy in hand-to-hand. Guy still didn't land a hit.

I'd say Itachi and Nagato are still beyond Guy at 7 Gates. We'll see what the 8th does.

No, he was just unscathed by Hirudora. Even when he backs up there's still dust there, meaning the explosion occurred then and there.
