Recentely someone has been trying to convince me otherwise (to no avail). They claim the markings are just marking and not made of his chakra.
However, this makes no sense, considering
- FTG works by Minato being able to teleport to anything or anything to himself that is in contact with his chakra. That's how he's able to teleport to the FTG kunai, they are in contact with his chakra, the markings.
- If not his chakra, what are they made of? The FTG marking never disappears, so it can't be ink. The only reasonable conclusion is that it is comprised of a seal of Minato's chakra, similar to the chakra he sealed into Naruto's stomach to meet him one day.
- Minato places them almost instantly with a touch, obviously imbuing them with his chakra signature. They couldn't be made any other way.
I thought this was pretty obvious. Can I get any validation from other members?
Also, this person claims jutsu only use chakra and are not comprised of it. If you have the patience, please review my statement against this to check its validity:

Jutsus. Are. Chakra. Every technique you listed above requires CHAKRA to work. To answer your question, yes, that mud wall and FTW is chakra. The difference is that they are IMBUED with chakra, rather than made out of it; Similar to Kabuto's Sage Art, chakra allows them to move and rearrange materials that normally would stay at rest. During this time, the objects are full of chakra. When the technique has finished, the chakra leaves, and it is just a wall of mud.
Techniques like water style or fire style are completely made out of chakra. They are made from thin air by the user out of their chakra, and our comprised nearly entirely of chakra. You'd have to be an idiot not to understand this.
Minato's FTG mark is comprised of chakra as well. That's how he teleports to it; anything in contact with his chakra he can move to himself or move to the object. Already all explained by Kishimoto. What makes the FTG mark extra special is that the chakra never disappears, similar to how Minato placed his chakra inside the SEAL in Naruto's stomach so that he could meet him one day.
