Not exactly if you know your Youube. Tyler Oakley has raised over $250,000 for LGBT. This is actually a really good approach. And that's just Tyler Oakley, think of the other icons on Youtube. The Youtube Community is a very useful means for something as this.

Meh. Sounds like he's meeting with glorified interest groups to discuss policy and what they would favor. It's a new age approach, I'll give him that. I'm not sure if youtube channel leaders are a good source for what he wants to know and discuss, but it will probably give him insight on how to reach certain demographics in policy.
