How come Madara...

Had to steal Hashirama's power to be equal to Hashirama? As we all know, Hashirama has been stomping Madara's ass his entire time of living. It was only until Madara: faked his death, stole Hashirama's DNA to make himself stronger (and created intel minions and downright have full blown experiments with Hashi's DNA), and planned world domination for decades that he was able to surpass Hashirama.

To put it simply, Madara is a cheater, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but when you have to go THOSE lengths to surpass one shinobi, you can really see how strong Hashirama really was (as noted in the manga countless times). It's pretty apparent that Madara didn't steal Hashi's own DNA solely to "surpass" him which is why I think he's pretty smart for choosing the route he took to become an equal of the Hermit of Six Paths, BUT when you go around flaunting to others about how strong you are compared to them (i.e how Madara bragged about how much greater he was than Hashi and Tobirama) when the powers aren't even "indigenous", if you will, to your body... THEN you need a reality check.

That's like stealing my crap and then bragging to me about it... :|

Cus hashi's level is unreachable. Madara truly didnt surpass him until he went into rikudou state. One eyed rimnegan madara is not enough to beat alive hashi. Two eyed rinnegan madara is equal or slightly stronger than hashi. Then madara just really got ahead with rikudou state. Hashi is a boss. To become stronger he needed his rivals power.

I'm sorry I didn't read this...I normally would, but the Hashirama and Madara thing is over imho. Madara has won....I don't care how he obtained his power, but the end justifies the means. Madara is by far superior so whatever of the past...is close to irrelevant to me as far as their power.

On a more serious note, yes Madara definitely won the battle in the long run (and it was definitely a LONG run for Madara to amount to Hashi), but he's a flat out cheater and his victory is far from fair. The countless years of preparation while faking his death in addition to many other things is why he won. You don't have to care, but Madara's way of surpassing Hashi was cowardly and cheap.

That happened long before Hashi was born, so you can't really say he stole the powers, but rather "inherited" them. That's not the same as what Madara did, which is why your point doesn't really relate to this thread.

I clearly stated that Madara's theft of Hashi's cells weren't only to surpass Hashi. I stated very specifically that Madara had a bigger reason behind taking that action. If you would've read instead of jumping to conclusions, you would've saw that.

Well....one could say that how Hashirama defeated Madara was cowardly and cheap. Sneaking up behind him, stabbing him in the back of all places. One could say he was a coward afraid to confront Madara to his face to defeat him. Nao....the way I see it is....there are no rules in a life or death battle. So Hashirama is fine in my book, but so is Madara....it all depends on how you view it. One could say Madara was the victor because he saw beyond for power and Hashirama couldn't. Not only that it could be said Madara played Hashirama as the fool.

It's all in how you perceive things....if you see Hashirama as superior... as I always say it's fine. If you don't mind some advice....pay no attention when ppl say negative things about Hashirama. If you see him as great in your mind that's all that matters. Just view it and move on. It's only a fictional character at the end of the day. Just saying..... I usually only take attention to the Madara negativity when the post is witty. Which is a rarity for those that bash Madara imo. Though I choose to not get emotional. Life goes on my friend. >_O

Here lies the critical failure in your thread. Madara didn't gain Hashirama's abilities to become stronger than him [x] it was never his motive. They were always roughly on par to begin with as portrayed through cannon [Hashirama being the only shinobi capable of fighting on edge with Madara, Madara beating Hashirama out of Sennin Modo without the Kyubi's help at VoTE]. However if your concern is as stated by users above, then you may dabble... ​

What? Him sneaking up on him is a old ninja technique. Why would he confront him when there was an opening for hashi to kill madara. Hashi doesnt have to cheat to win.
