[Discussion] Ukitake to die, and Rukia will be the new captain..

I know Ukitake is a nice guy(no homo) and he's as strong as Shunsui(and yes he's still stronger than Rukia) but I think we'll have to prepare him a tombstone soon! I can already picture it:
Ukitake will be in bankai facing a trill vollstandig, and right in the thick of things, when it's getting really intense, he suddenly holds his chest and coughs blood for a while and the sternritter exploits the huge opening and ba-a-am!, his sickness screws him over. Rukia since she's now deadly she'll be appointed new 13th squad captain...
Thoughts?..

The Unohana vacancy is debatable for now, plus Love also wants a spot..

I really hope not as I love Ukitake and I think his voice is so amazing and soothing in the anime.

I think it is very likely that he will be defeated but I think it is more likely that Ichigo will become the new captain.
He wouldn't be the first from the shiba clan to be in that squad.
Although I have no idea if he will join soul society and if he does I don't think he would fit in Hitsugaya's squad.
I also think Renji is still stronger.

Back When the Quincy just showed up for the second time we see ukitake sitting an a pool of water with some type of flower in the middle I guess he's supposed to be getting healed.

Na Ichigo needs to have development in his character, and I'd prefer it if Ichigo actually moved on with his life and does something he enjoys doing (protecting people) if he was a captain I feel this would fill his need to fill that need.

Hopefully Ichigo takes over the Eight squad.
