All Tobiramas efforts in tagging Gai would be useless, as Gai's superior CQC and hand striking speed would simply not allow that to happen, even with the combined efforts of kage bunshins. In addition, an exhuasted Gai just managed to push back and go toe to toe with Jubi Jin Madara. Even if it was only for a couple of seconds, this feat is much more impressive then Tobiramas fail attempts. I don't see Gai losing this.
