Watch the episode, Naruto does exactly what Mnato does. He enters sage mode in a matter of seconds just for the quick purpose of getting past the guards, he then loses it seconds later. Same thing Minato has just done, Naruto gathered just the little bit of senjutsu he needed for that moment before losing it.



That's what it looks like accroding to the scans, I'm gonna go with that until the anime releases the episode.

Actual he had it the whole chapter, until Iruka-sensei's words struck him.

Ah yes you're right, however the part about him entering sage mode still stands, he was talking/looking at them. And the sage mode didn't last long at all.

Oh crap I just realized how much of a feat that was. That reaction to warp away the rasengan before getting killed by it was crazy impressive. Amaterasu aint got nothing on Kamui, plus FTG already showed that s/t ninjutsu > Amaterasu when Minato got hit by it and switched with Obito.

hes not a perfect sage that was made clear last chapter he has no frog kata which he clearly stated thhat he couldnt even need chakra properly the fact that hes out of sage mode already is further proof of that he cant even last 2 minutes in sage mode

Minato is a perfect SAGE and his sage mode is not inferior to Narutnly disadvantage is Minato can't enter SM as fast as Naruto and can't maintain it as long as Naruto nothing else.Minato can do everything Naruto can do with the help of SM.If Minato uses frogs like Jiraiya the his SM is better than that of both Naruto as well as Jiraiya.If Naruto uses frogs for SM then his SM = Minato's SM with frogs.

Basically he can use SM in short bursts not longer durations like naruto. Which is perfectly fine. If you think about it the age he died and how busy he was as a jonin and hokage he obviously didn't have time to perfect SM like naruto and juraiya did.

Minato is a perfect sage, Jiraya isn't. The only time we saw Jiraya in sage mode, he had partners to kneed the natural energy for him, when Minato in past chapter didn't. The time limit of sage mode exist for everyone who has no partners. Naruto himself can't maintain it for more than 5minutes. You can continue to deny it if you want though
