I thought Kabuto stated that Orochimaru was never able to obtain Sage Mode? That's why he was bragging about it, because he was actually able to do it.

That was because Orochimaru's body was weak and dying. But now he has a Zetsu's body in perfect state. He could learn Sage Mode now.

He never lost them...orochimaru took back his own chakra. Kabuto still has every power he took besides that. Orochimaru even asks if he may have left some of his chakra in accidentally and if that was where the bad feeling was coming from.

No, Kishimoto never stater that Orochimaru took Kabuto's abilities. The manga didn't say that anywhere.

I'm only confused cause with orochimaru's DNA originally, his body was getting white and scaley, not because of his sage mode or anything. His body was being modified DNA wise and that's why he appeared the way he did before naruto hinata and Yamato. And orochimaru only took away his chakra, how is it that after kabuto was left in the cave that he reverted back to his human form?

As far as I remember, Orochimaru only took his own powers from Kabuto, not the others.
