but in a fight they get shitstomped because in the end, they are just medical ninja. No real offensive or defensive techs besides healing themselves and punching.

Tsunade is a great combatant beating probably 90 per cent of the whole cast. She's equal to Jiraiya and Orochimaru, who are both considered strong as hell. Her hype is great, and her feats are great.

Also Konan and Mei need to be mentioned. They're not weak at all.

I think she would do well 1v1, range jutsu is hardly a factor considering byakugou. We can't group her with ino, and ino doesnt have CES... If you mean Sakura and Tsunade then i put them in the same boat.

Using your examples, Ino might not be a fighting type, but Tsunade can very well hold her own against kage level opponents even if her priority is healing the others. She showed this twice already.

We should come to a point when we realise the original sannin are really close in 1v1 scenario, but are equal in terms of their power and expertise in their field.

Jiraya relies too much on summons for me to say he is above Tsunade, people complain when we say katsuya too much and forget every one of jiraya's techniques that make him compete with Tsunade involves a toad. Dark swamp is the only thing left if we take those away that could use against Tsunade, even then she can walk on that... and then theres uhh rasengan

His sage mode is good if we were to include summons, why do i feel like his sm would run out before she ran out. :I

stop, just stop. In their prime, the Sannin were leagues different, Tsunade being the weakest. SM is just a perk to Jiraiya, Itachi and Kisame fled like girls when they saw him. Jiraiya took on Pein and merked them without intel, but got overwhelmed. Tsunade didnt do shit and Naruto had to save her again.

And why bring up armless Orochimaru? I could say coma Tsunade was that much of a ninja either...
