Need help from computer experts?

I'm having a very odd issue related to the all mighty PING.

When I'm searching for a good looking server, I oftenly see normal ping. 13 ping for servers in my country, 140 for those in other countries.

But when I join the server I get giant ping variations, that range from 10 to 999+. This is weird and I've tried to do the following things to fix the thing:

1-restart router and modem
2- change IP
3- uninstall shitty programs
4- add a decimal value of value 1 and title TCPNoDelay to my regedit
5- tested the command ping -t google.com on CMD

None of those worked now what


PS: i'm using win 8 and I am not downloading anything

Did you restart your computer?
if yes, then re install windows

he might not have a fresh copy of Windows. that might not even solve the problem

Try Stop any downloads you have Also how many computers are connected to your modem ?

Maybe you need a faster connection you should check what you are paying for.

what are the ping values of the other people

the average. most people have 35 ping and some foreingers who join the server have 200. i'm the only one with this problem.

i've never had this problem before and i use the same internet provider since i was 6.

this is just a shot in the dark but any chance it could be your firewall? I've had download speeds that fluctuated like that once because of my firewall

it is a Complex problem.Why wouldn't you call a Internet service providing company and ask help from them?
they will solve this problem

the last time i called my internet provider to come and help they took my PC for 2 weeks, deleted all my HD, and gave me a windows 7 cd without the product key. thats not an option.

try to reastart. Otherwise reinstall window maybe boot files or system files have issues

Windows 8 has a feature called refresh. rather than erasing your hard drive, it apparently keeps your stuff while resetting the os

i just found out that i can't do that because my pc "hasn't the files needed; you'll have to use the media to get them".

anything else i could try? =(

connect to internet,do nothing. monitor ur data transmit...if everything look GOOD,u may try ur friend or one of ur family's LAPTOP and play the same(u 'll be o.k)
maybe ur hdd or win have problem.
BUT the best solution is change WIN and install antivirus(UPDATED ONE)... this one can solve ur PROBLEM!
