Yeah, I consider quite a few people in the NB Skype chat I'm in my friends. I consider people here like Jack Spicer, Mr. Outside and Hipster Madara my friends. Kumo and the rap groups have people I consider friends. There's even two particular people from NB that are very important to me and I consider two of my best friends.

People on NB are a compliment to our RL; friends/acquaintances that share mutual interest that some may otherwise not be able to talk about in their RL. That's why so many of us on here have our own personal circles or groups; we're united by common interests. It's a different sense of attachment.

But I don't think it's a substitute for real face to face interaction. Once you realize that, then you can strengthen your bonds on here and RL.

I think meeting people from NB in RL is also a crazy thing, shows the small world we live in. I've met individuals due to close proximity.

In the end, yes, I consider people my friends on here, in the same way people playing online games wiuld consider their party members friends and whatnot.

So having friends online automatically means we have no life? I have a very healthy social life. Boyfriend, best friends, classmates I talk to everyday, and I'm no shut in who never goes outside

But I also log into NB and talk to ppl here as well. I have rl friends....but I consider some ppl on NB a friend as well. You have no right to judge

You can easily make friends here, you're just not open to it because of a stigma. That's the conclusion I've reached

That was the point of this thread. This person kinda struck a nerve when he said I can't use the word friend for anyone here. Your opinion shouldn't involve putting others down
